Service operations engineer

Liège (Belgium) + Remote

Osimis is a company based in Liège, Belgium. We help medical institutions to grow with our imaging solutions.

We are a team of 12 people and we have high ambitions. As a service operations engineer you will be the main interface for customers when delivering Orthanc support and custom development contracts.  You’ll become an expert of the Orthanc ecosystem and share your knowledge with customers and internal teams. You'll be part of a team of seasoned software developers.  

Your responsibilities

  • As a products expert, you handle the technical and contractual inquiries during the sales process for support contracts and custom developments
  • You are the interface between customers and the Orthanc development team
  • Be an active contributor to the Orthanc open source ecosystem
  • You take ownership of customer issues reported and handle problems till resolution
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (software developers & fellow operations engineers)
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Participate to products testing
  • Take part in the Orthanc Users community
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients


  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer and/or Technical Sales Engineer
  • Great organizational skills & a ‘getting things done’ attitude
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot advanced technical issues
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • BS degree in relevant field
  • English + French speaking (written + oral)
  • Self-learner


  • You have a background in medical software or medical imaging
