Operations engineer

Liège (Belgium) + Remote

Osimis is a startup based in Liège, Belgium. We help medical institutions to grow with our imaging solutions.

We are a team of 9 people and we have high ambitions. As the operations engineer you will be the main interface for customers when delivering Lify.  You’ll become an expert of the Lify platform and share your knowledge with customers and internal teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Take ownership of customer issues reported and handle problems till resolution
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (software developers & fellow operations engineers)
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • As a products expert, you are involved in technical enquiries during the pre-sales process
  • Participate to products testing
  • Take part in the Orthanc Users community
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients

All-doer job in a first stage, you’ll get the chance to concentrate on particular topics as the team grows.


  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot advanced technical issues
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Great organizational skills & a ‘getting things done’ attitude
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar role
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
  • English + French speaking (written + oral)
  • Experience with at least some of these technologies: Docker, Rest APIs, DICOM, Linux command line, Windows administration, WireShark,
  • Self-learner
  • Strong bias to be part of a small but high-quality team that has a bias for independence & ownership


  • You have a background in medical software products
  • Understanding of web programming constraints
  • Knowledge of a programming language
