This tool is designed to quantify the heterogeneity of a lesion (as it is an indicator of tumoral aggressiveness).

The obtained descriptors can be classified as First Order if they are obtained directly from the histogram (Kurtosis, Skewness) and as Second Order if they are obtained from the co-occurrence matrix (Correlation, Entropy, Contrast, Homogeneity).

This analysis provides a statistical correlation of the diverse cell populations, with different differentiation grades, proliferation and treatment response, present in a tumor. This analysis allows the tumoral staging, parthologic tissue phenotyping, diagnosis assessment and follow-up of the treatment.

This can be used with various modalities images (CT - MR - XR - US - PET - Spect)
